2025 has been a fantastic year for the Agile team. We welcomed Linh to the team, moved offices (and got onto the property ladder), redesigned our website, and saw James return from a sabbatical, travelling across Asia. Along the way, we introduced new ways of working to strengthen team collaboration, made valuable new connections, onboarded new clients, and embraced emerging technologies, applying them to real-world projects. After such a busy and rewarding year, what better way to celebrate our achievements and hard work than with our annual festive finish?
A Day in the Office
We kicked things off by meeting at our new office in Lewes. For some of the team, this marked their final working day before the festive break, an ideal chance to wrap up loose ends, send those last emails, and set up out-of-office replies before heading over to Brighton for the evening’s festivities.
Escape Room @ Pier Pressure
At Agile, we love an escape room, so much so that most of our Christmas parties have included one. Having thoroughly enjoyed Pier Pressure’s Loot the Lanes escape room back in 2023, we decided to return and take on another challenge.
This time, we attempted Broken, advertised as one of, if not the hardest rooms they offer. We split into two teams, working together through a small gap between rooms to solve puzzles and riddles. With plenty of teamwork, we managed to complete the room in just 40 minutes. It was great fun and an excellent team-building experience.
Pub quiz @ The Mucky Fox
Next, we headed across town to The Mucky Fox for a pub quiz hosted by Brighton’s own Quiz Face. Drinks in hand, we settled in while watching Joe unsuccessfully attempt to “split the G”.
We were lucky enough to catch the final quiz of the year, themed entirely around 2025. The questions covered everything from news and pop culture to films, music, and riddles. It was brilliantly put together; challenging, creative, and thoroughly entertaining.
We finished fifth out of fifteen teams, which isn’t bad for a group of logically minded software developers. Credit where it’s due, though, we wouldn’t have done half as well without Dan on the team!
They also serve delicious Thai food.
All in all, it was a fantastic festive finish and a great way to wrap up another successful year.
